It was the second finals appearance in two weeks for Meusburger, who was runner-up to Simona Halep in Hungary last Sunday. Prior to that her only other WTA finals appearance was the title match at the Gastein Ladies in 2007.
She defeated Hlavackova, who was making her first title match appearance, 7-5, 6-2 behind five breaks. Meusburger needed three breaks to take the opening set and then dropped only eight points in four service games in taking the second and the championship.
Meusburger won more than $42,000 along with the title while Hlavackova picked up about $21,000.
