TORONTO, July 21 (UPI) -- Chris Archer tossed seven effective innings and Tampa Bay smacked back-to-back homers Sunday in the Rays' series-sweeping 4-3 win over Toronto.

Archer (5-3) yielded just one run on five hits, working around four walks while striking out one en route to his fourth straight quality start.

Tampa Bay broke open a 1-1 tie in the sixth when Luke Scott clouted a two-run shot and Kelly Johnson followed him with a solo blast.

Jamey Wright pitched a scoreless eighth but Fernando Rodney struggled in the ninth for the second straight game before closing out his 24th save.

The Rays closer yielded a two-run double to Jose Reyes before inducing Melky Cabrera to ground out with runners at second and third, ending the game.

Red-hot Tampa Bay posted a three-game series sweep and claimed its 17th win in 19 contests.

Blue Jays starter R.A. Dickey (8-11) was touched for four runs on seven hits over six full innings.
