MLB: Boston 11, Seattle 4

SEATTLE, July 11 (UPI) -- David Ortiz hit a two-run homer as part of a 12-hit attack Wednesday and Boston sailed to an 11-4 decision over Seattle.

The Red Sox built a 9-0 lead through six innings and Felix Dubront struck out six over seven frames to get the win.

Boston took the lead in the second on sacrifice flies from both Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Jose Iglesias. Ortiz then gave the Red Sox a 4-0 lead with his home run in the third.

A four-run sixth broke things open for the Red Sox with Ortiz contributing his third RBI of the game on a sacrifice fly.

Doubront (6-3) allowed a run on five hits. Aaron Harang (4-8) was charged with the loss, giving up seven runs on eight hits in five innings.
