MLB: New York Mets 12, Milwaukee 5

MILWAUKEE, July 6 (UPI) -- Kirk Nieuwenhuis drove in five runs Friday, boosting New York to a quick start on its way to a 12-5 win over mistake-prone Milwaukee.

Four of the Mets' runs were unearned thanks to three Milwaukee errors. New York snapped a two-game skid.
