DENVER, July 2 (UPI) --
The red-hot Los Angeles Dodgers had plenty of pitching and hitting Tuesday in their 8-0 rout of the Colorado Rockies.
Los Angeles banged out 14 hits in support of Clayton Kershaw (7-5), who went the distance and to pace the Dodgers' to their ninth win in 10 games.
Kershaw limited Colorado to four hits and did not walk a batter.
Rookie sensation Yasiel Puig smacked a solo home run and Adrian Gonzalez had a two-run shot for Los Angeles. Juan Uribe also had two RBI.
Roy Oswalt (0-3) was roughed up in his latest unproductive start. Oswalt allowed five runs on nine hits in five innings and saw his season ERA bumped up to 7.88.
Oswalt got through the first inning, but the Dodgers scored five runs over the next three innings to take control.
