INDIANAPOLIS, July 2 (UPI) -- Baylor University women's basketball head Coach Kim Mulkey Tuesday was handed a one-game NCAA Tournament suspension for criticizing officials.

Mulkey was also penalized with the withholding of team per diem during the regional round of play of the next NCAA Tournament appearance she makes with Baylor or any other team she may be coaching.

Mulkey criticized game officials during a press conference after Baylor's March 31 regional semifinal loss to Louisville at the Oklahoma City Regional.

She also blasted officials to reporters during the 2011 tourney.

"The committee unanimously felt that the behavior of Coach Mulkey was unacceptable and has no place in the women's basketball championship," Carolayne Henry, chairwoman of the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee, said in a statement.
