TORONTO, July 1 (UPI) -- Jose Reyes and Mark DeRosa hit home runs Monday that helped the Toronto Blue Jays to an 8-3 Canada Day win over the Detroit Tigers.

The Blue Jays scored all their runs in the first four innings, allowing starting pitcher R.A. Dickey to even his record at 8-8. Dickey allowed six hits and one walk in seven innings. He struck out four.

The runs he allowed came in the fourth when Detroit's Prince Fielder hit his 14th home run of the season and Omar Infante added an RBI double.

Toronto was up 5-0 before that and had chased Tigers starter Jose Alvarez (1-2) from the game. Alvarez was charged with five runs (four earned) and six hits in three innings. He also walked three and struck out four.

Munenori Kawasaki singled in Maicer Izturis in the second for the game's first run. Reyes led off the third with his third home run of the season. Rajai Davis doubled and then two walked loaded the bases later in the inning. J.P. Arencibia singled in two runs and Izturis completed the four-run rally with a sacrifice fly.

Luke Putkonen replaced Alvarez to start the fourth and got two outs before Davis singled and Jose Bautista walked. DeRosa followed with a home run to right. It was his fifth of the season.

Detroit finished the scoring with a home run from Infante with two outs in the ninth.
