MLB: Los Angeles Angels 7, Houston 2

HOUSTON, June 29 (UPI) -- Joe Blanton won his first game since May 23 with seven solid innings Saturday and the Los Angeles Angels used a big fourth inning to best Houston 7-2.

Blanton (2-10) notched only his second victory in 16 starts for the Angels, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks. The right-hander struck out six.

Alberto Callaspo and Erick Aybar each delivered a two-run single during the fourth for a 4-0 Los Angeles lead.

Chris Iannetta pounded a two-run homer and Howie Kendrick added a solo shot as Los Angeles clinched its three-game series.

Houston's Jordan Lyles (4-3) absorbed the loss, yielding four runs on five hits in four innings.

Brett Wallace cracked a two-run homer for the Astros.
