Kentucky Speedway Spint Cup race postponed by rain

SPARTA, Ky., June 29 (UPI) -- A scheduled 400-mile Sprint Cup Series race at Kentucky Speedway was postponed Saturday due to persistent rain.

After several efforts to dry the track, race officials decided just before 9 p.m. EDT to postpone the event until noon Sunday.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. has the pole for the Kentucky race after setting a track qualifying record Friday with a lap at 183.636 mph.
