June 24 (UPI) -- NBA champion Chris Bosh is caught in a legal battle for custody of his 4-year-old daughter, Trinity.

Bosh has asked a judge to strip primary custody from his ex, Allison Mathis, saying that Mathis is blocking contact with his daughter. Mathis, he says, refuses to let the two travel together and is hurting their relationship by talking trash about Bosh.

Attorneys for Mathis responded with their own set of legal documents, saying the allegations are untrue. Mathis filed papers earlier this month seeking an increase child support payments from $2,600 per month to $30,000 per month.

Bosh is filing for primary legal custody, but says he would permit visitation rights for Mathis. The custody battle has been going on for years, but this time, Bosh wants to have Trinity all to himself.

This comes after a judge ruled in 2012 that Trinity could not attend the London Olympics while her father was playing. The judge would not allow Trinity to go overseas with his father, and Mathis did not budge on the issue.

Trinity was allowed to attend her father's 27th birthday dinner in March, however. Bosh's attorney told the judge that he wants consistent contact with his daughter, but Mathis says Bosh's NBA schedule makes that difficult.

Bosh is married to Adrienne Williams-Bosh, and the two have a daughter named Jackson who was born during last year's playoffs.
