S'HERTOGENBOSCH, Netherlands, June 19 (UPI) -- Last remaining seeds Stanislaw Wawrinka of Switzerland and Frenchman Jeremy Chardy each won Wednesday, advancing to the Topshelf Open quarterfinals.
Second-seeded Wawrinka moved on with a 6-3, 7-6 (10-8) win over Italian Paolo Lorenzi.
He'll next face Chardy, who bested Romanian wild card Marius Copil, 7-5, 6-4 to gain the quarterfinals at Autotron Rosmalen.
Their meeting will ensure only one seeded player will make it through to the final four at the Dutch grass-court Wimbledon tune-up.
Also among the second-round winners was Belgian Xavier Malisse, who had earlier knocked off fifth-seeded Kevin Anderson and followed that up with a 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 decision over Taiwan's Yen-Hsun Lu.
Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, Russian Evgeny Donskoy, French qualifier Nicolas Mahut, Spain's Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and Czech qualifier Jan Hernych also advanced Wednesday.
