Boyd threw 121 pitches to record the shutout.
Oregon State's lone run came in the fourth when Kevin Keyes singled, moved to third on a double by Ryan Barnes and came in on a sacrifice fly from Jake Rodriguez.
Aaron Slegers also went the distance for the Hoosiers, giving up the lone run on seven hits.
