OMAHA, June 19 (UPI) -- Matt Boyd struck out 11 and gave up just four hits in a complete game Wednesday that brought Oregon State a 1-0 win over Indiana in the College World Series.

The Beavers eliminated Indiana from the tournament and Oregon State advanced to meet unbeaten Mississippi State to determine one of the teams that will play in the championship series.

Mississippi State will have two chances to earn the one win it needs to move into the title series. The Beavers and Bulldogs will meet on Friday with a deciding game, if needed, to be played on Saturday.

Mississippi State defeated Oregon State 5-4 in the opening round of the double-elimination tournament.

Boyd walked three and on only one occasion allowed more than one base runner in an inning. He gave up a pair of one-out singles in the fifth before retiring consecutive batters on fly balls to end the threat.

Boyd threw 121 pitches to record the shutout.

Oregon State's lone run came in the fourth when Kevin Keyes singled, moved to third on a double by Ryan Barnes and came in on a sacrifice fly from Jake Rodriguez.
