MLB: Oakland 6, Texas 2

ARLINGTON, Texas, June 18 (UPI) -- Jarrod Parker frustrated the Rangers on two runs over seven innings Tuesday and the Oakland Athletics handled division rival Texas 6-2.

Parker (6-6) turned in his eighth consecutive quality start, allowing just three hits and two walks while striking out four. The right-hander won his fourth straight decision, posting a 2.04 ERA over the five-game span.

John Jaso and Brandon Moss each belted a solo for American League West-leading Oakland, which rebounded from an 8-7 loss to second-place Texas in Monday's opener of the four-game series.

Yu Darvish (7-3) was touched for five runs (four earned) on six hits over six full innings, absorbing the loss. He walked two and struck out 10 in the setback.

A.J. Pierzynski drove in both Rangers runs.
