BROOKLYN, Mich., June 16 (UPI) -- Greg Biffle easily took the Quicken Loans 400 after Jimmie Johnson hit the wall with four laps left Sunday, handing Ford its 1,000th Sprint Cup title.

After the hard-charging Johnson had suffered the mishap in the late going, Biffle handily bested Kevin Harvick down the stretch at Michigan International Speedway, notching a 3-second margin of victory.

Biffle, driving the No. 16 car for Roush Fenway Racing, gave Ford the milestone victory in his fourth career Sprint Cup triumph at Michigan, while team owner Jack Roush racked up his 13th career win at the two-mile track.

Martin Truex Jr. claimed third place. Kyle Busch and Tony Stewart rounded out the Top 5.

Johnson fell to 28th place while defending champ Dale Earnhardt Jr. blew an engine as he was holding second place on lap 132.
