MINNEAPOLIS, June 15 (UPI) -- Sixth-inning doubles by Prince Fielder, Victor Martinez and Jhonny Peralta accounted for all the Detroit runs Friday and led the Tigers over Minnesota 4-0.

Detroit pitching limited the Twins to three hits, all of them allowed by starter Rick Porcello (4-3).

The game was scoreless heading into the sixth, but the Tigers sent eight men to the plate in that frame while getting to Scott Diamond (4-6).

Austin Jackson reached on a one-out walk and moved to second on a ground out by Torii Hunter.

Miguel Cabrera was walked intentionally and Diamond then gave up the consecutive doubles to Fielder, Martinez and Peralta.

Porcello struck out five and did not walk a batter through seven innings. Closer Jose Valverde shut down the Twins in ninth in a non-save situation.
