WEST ALLIS, Wis., June 14 (UPI) -- Marco Andretti turned in a two-lap average of 170.515 miles per hour Friday to lead qualifying for Saturday's 250-mile IndyCar race at the Milwaukee Mile.

Andretti won his first career pole on this track 5 years ago.

Although he is second in the points standings this season, Andretti has yet to win a race in 2013. Seven different drivers have won the first eight races.

Andretti's teammate James Hinchcliffe qualified second with a speed of 170.418 mph.

Will Power turned in the third-best qualifying time, followed by defending series champion Ryan Hunter-Reay and E.J. Viso.
