ARLINGTON, Texas, June 13 (UPI) -- Esmil Rogers limited Texas to a run in a seven-inning effort Thursday in bringing Toronto a 3-1 victory over the slumping Rangers.

Texas has lost three in a row and six of its last eight. The Rangers have scored three or fewer runs in each of those six losses.

Rogers (2-2) surrendered a home run to Nelson Cruz in the second, but Melky Cabrera singled in the tying run in the third.

The game remained deadlocked until Edwin Encarnacion doubled in two runs against Neal Cotts (2-1) in the eighth.

Texas starter Yu Darvish did not figure in the decision in his fourth straight outing. He limited the Blue Jays to three hits and struck out nine over seven innings.

Casey Janssen worked a perfect ninth for his 14th save.
