NBA: San Antonio 113, Miami 77

SAN ANTONIO, June 12 (UPI) -- The San Antonio Spurs set a record 16 3-point shots in the NBA Finals Tuesday while trouncing the defending champion Miami Heat 113-77 in Game 3 of the series.

San Antonio scored 16 3-pointers in the contest with Danny Green and Gary Neal combining to shoot 13-of-19 from beyond the arc.

The win put the Spurs up 2-1 in the series with Game 4 taking place Thursday in San Antonio.

Green finished with 27 points and Neal added 24 for the Spurs. Kawhi Leonard added 14 points and Tony Parker finished with 12.

Dwyane Wade led Miami with 16 points. LeBron James faced a tough San Antonio defense and tallied 15 points on 7-of-21 shooting from the field.

Miami shot 40.8 percent from the field to 48.9 percent for the Spurs. San Antonio led 50-44 and outscored the Heat 35-14 in the fourth quarter.
