WASHINGTON, June 7 (UPI) -- Friday's scheduled game between the Minnesota Twins and Washington Nationals was postponed because of inclement weather.

The teams will make up the contest as part of a split doubleheader Sunday. The originally scheduled contest will still be played at 1:35 p.m. EDT and the makeup game will take place at 7:05 p.m.

Tropical Storm Andrea, making its way up the East Coast, also washed out Washington's game Thursday against the New York Mets. That contest will be made up as part of a July 26 doubleheader.
