MLB: Los Angeles Angels 4, Chicago Cubs 3

ANAHEIM, Calif., June 5 (UPI) -- Albert Pujols drove in three runs Tuesday in the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim's 4-3 victory over the Chicago Cubs.

Pujols drove in one run with a sacrifice fly and then blasted a two-run, go-ahead home in the eighth inning that nailed down the victory and got the Angels back on track after being swept in a four-game series with the Houston Astros.

It was the first home run for Pujols since May 23 and consigned Carlos Villanueva (1-4) to the loss.

Howie Kendrick accounted for the other Los Angeles run. Robert Coello (2-1) was credited with the win for his scoreless eighth inning.

Ryan Sweeney, Nate Schierholtz and Alfonso Soriano drove in runs for the Cubs, who fell for the third consecutive game.

Chicago led 3-1 after three innings but Los Angeles scored a run in the seventh and two in the eighth to grab the victory.
