SAN DIEGO, June 3 (UPI) -- Toronto's Mark De Rosa belted a tie-breaking homer in the 11th inning Sunday and the Blue Jays went on to douse San Diego 7-4.

De Rosa slammed a 3-1 pitch from Brad Boxberger (0-1) into upper deck leading off the 11th, breaking a 4-4 deadlock.

Toronto later added runs on third baseman Chase Headley's throwing error and an RBI double from Jose Bautista.

The Blue Jays bullpen hurled nine innings of shutout relief after starter Ramon Ortiz left the game in the third inning with an apparent elbow injury, allowing four runs.

Casey Janssen (1-0) pitched a scoreless 10th to earn the decision and Aaron Loup picked up his second save as the Blue Jays avoided a three-game sweep.

Adam Lind (3-for-6) connected for a two-run double in the fifth, erasing a 4-2 deficit, and Edwin Encarnacion went deep for Toronto.

Padres starter Edinson Volquez cracked a three-run homer.
