Tim Tebow's dad squashes talk his son's NFL career is kaput

June 2, 2013 at 12:07 AM   |   Comments

NEW YORK, June 1 (UPI) -- Tim Tebow's father says his quarterback son has not given up on playing in the NFL again despite a report some close to him believe his career may be over.

Tebow was cut loose by the New York Jets several weeks ago and no other team has picked him up. The ESPN magazine reported Friday members of his camp are "privately admitting that his NFL run is probably over."

NFL.com reported Saturday, however, Bob Tebow poured some cold water on such talk.

"You are old enough to not believe all you hear," he said.
