MLS: Chicago 2, D.C. United 0

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill., June 2 (UPI) -- D.C. United's Nick DeLeon scored an own-goal early in the game and the Chicago Fire parlayed the bad break into a 2-0 victory Sunday.

The game was scoreless in the 9th minute when Chicago's Jeff Larentowicz redirected a free kick from Joel Lindpere onto the head of United's DeLeon -- and the resulting unlucky bounce found its way into the net.

The game remained 1-0 until the 85th minute when Mike Magee netted an insurance tally off an assist from Patrick Nyarko as the Fire (3-7-2) snapped a four-game winless streak.

Reeling United (1-10-2), meanwhile, saw its own winless streak reach 11 matches.
