MLB: Oakland 6, San Francisco 3

OAKLAND, Calif., May 29 (UPI) -- The surging Oakland Athletics downed cross-bay rival San Francisco 6-3 Tuesday behind a solid five-hit start by Jarrod Parker.

Parker (6-3) allowed two runs and struck out four in seven innings and led the A's to their fifth consecutive win and 10th victory in their last 11 games.

Derek Norris had a two-run homer for the A's and Adam Rosales added a solo shot to Oakland's nine-hit performance. Jed Lowrie had two hits and an RBI.

Hunter Pence had a solo homer in the ninth inning for the Giants. Mike Kickham (0-1) was shelled in his Major League debut, allowing four runs but striking out three in 2 1/3 innings.
