BRUSSELS, May 25 (UPI) -- Estonia's Kaia Kanepi won two matches Saturday to win the Brussels Open, a clay-court tune-up for next week's French Open.

Kanepi began play Saturday with a 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 straight-set win over Jamie Hamilton of the United States and then posted a 6-2, 7-5 victory of China's Peng Shuai in the finals.

Peng beat Switzerland's Romina Oprandi in their Saturday semifinal match 6-4, 2-6, 6-4, but appeared to fade against Kanepi.

The semis and finals were played on the same day due to rain earlier in the week.
