C.J. Wilson ended a personal three-game losing streak by striking out 10 over eight innings, bringing the Angels their fourth consecutive victory. The Mariners have dropped six in a row.
The Angels scored seven times in the first three innings, all of the runs coming against Brandon Maurer (2-6). He allowed 11 hits.
Hamilton delivered a two-run single and Trumbo brought in two more with a double to get the Angels going. Hank Conger's base hit drove in the fifth run of the inning.
Wilson (4-3) allowed a run on six hits with two walks before turning things over to Dane De La Rosa in the ninth. This was Wilson's 44th start in his two years with the Angels and he has yet to throw a complete game for Los Angeles. He had six of them during his final two seasons with the Texas Rangers (2010 and 2011).
