MLB: Cincinnati 4, New York Mets 3

NEW YORK, May 20 (UPI) -- Jay Bruce clouted a go-ahead homer and Johnny Cueto notched a win in his return from an injury Monday in Cincinnati's 4-3 win over the New York Mets.

Bruce's blast off Mets starter Shaun Marcum with none out in the sixth snapped a 3-3 tie and sent Cincinnati on its way to an eighth win in 10 contests.

Lyle Ondrusek, J.J. Hoover, Sean Marshall and Jonathan Broxton combined for three shutout relief frames and Aroldis Chapman recorded a 1-2-3 ninth for his ninth save.

Marcum (0-5) surrendered four runs on six hits over six full frames.

Marlon Byrd smacked a three-run homer for the Mets.
