MLB: Miami 2, Arizona 1

MIAMI, May 19 (UPI) -- Marcell Ozuna delivered a two-run double Sunday and the Miami Marlins survived a late Arizona rally to edge the Diamondbacks 2-1.

Ozuna doubled home Adeiny Hechavarria and Derek Dietrich with two out in the sixth inning, providing Miami's only scoring.

Ricky Nolasco (3-5) took a 2-0 shutout into the ninth inning, but then ran into trouble when Didi Gregorius doubled to lead off the frame. After Steve Cishek relieved, Gregorius (3-for-4) went to third on an out and came home on a Jason Kubel sacrifice fly, cutting Arizona's deficit to a run.

Pinch-hitter Eric Chavez then singled and Martin Prado drew a walk, chasing Cishek.

Mike Dunn took over on the mound and issued a base-on-balls to Miguel Montero, loading the bases, but he recorded his first save of the season when A.J. Pollock grounded out to end the contest.

Nolasco yielded just one run on five hits over eight innings, striking out 11 as the Marlins avoided a three-game sweep.

Diamondbacks starter Wade Miley (3-3) surrendered two runs on five hits over six frames.
