MLS: Sporting KC 1, Houston 0

HOUSTON, May 12 (UPI) -- Aurelien Collin scored on a header in the 73rd minute Sunday and Sporting Kansas City dealt Houston its first home loss in 36 games, 1-0.

The game-winner came when Collin got his head on a Seth Sinovic throw-in in the penalty area and put it past Houston goalkeeper Tally Hall for the contest's only score.

Jimmy Nielsen preserved the lead in the 81st minute with a diving save on Ricardo Clark's shot as Kansas City (6-4-2) pulled even with the Dynamo for second place in the Eastern Conference.

Houston (6-3-3), meanwhile, saw its MLS-record home unbeaten streak come to end, falling on its home turf for the first time since June 18, 2011.
