LOS ANGELES, May 12 (UPI) -- Skip Schumaker backed Hyun-Jin Ryu's strong start with three RBI Saturday and the Los Angeles Dodgers broke an eight-game skid, 7-1 over Miami.
Schumaker supplied run-scoring singles in the fifth and seventh innings added an RBI on a fielder's choice for Los Angeles, which took its first victory in May.

Andre Ethier went 4-for-4 with three runs scored, Juan Uribe provided two RBI and Dee Gordon smacked a solo homer for the Dodgers.
Ryu (4-2) yielded one run on five hits over 6 2/3 frames, walking three and striking out three.
Marlins starter Kevin Slowey (1-3) was touched for five runs on 11 hits in a 4 2/3-inning effort.
Miguel Olivo hit a bases-empty homer for Miami.
