MLB: Colorado 8, St. Louis 2

ST. LOUIS, May 12 (UPI) -- Colorado's Jorge De La Rosa took a no-hitter into the seventh inning Sunday and the Rockies avoided a sweep with an 8-2 win over St. Louis.

De La Rosa (4-3) kept the Cardinals hitless until David Freese lined a two-out single in the seventh. Jon Jay followed with a double, but those were the only hits the Rockies left-hander allowed.

Troy Tulowitzki belted a three-run homer and Charlie Blackmon added a two-run shot, pacing a Colorado offense that had been shut out in each of the previous two contests.

Jamie Garcia (4-2) was tagged with the loss, yielding five runs on eight hits in six frames.

Matt Adams and Pete Kozma provided ninth-inning RBI for St. Louis.
