MINNEAPOLIS, May 11 (UPI) --
Manny Machado singled in the go-ahead run during a three-run 10th inning Friday that gave Baltimore a 9-6 decision over Minnesota.
The Orioles rallied from a six-run deficit by scoring three times in both the sixth and seventh innings, then produced another outburst in the 10th to halt Minnesota's three-game winning streak.
With Anthony Swarzak (1-1) on the mound for Minnesota, Chris Dickerson opened the 10th with a single and moved to second on a sacrifice by Alexi Casilla.
Nate McLouth singled Dickerson to third, from where he scored on Machado's base hit to right. A sacrifice fly by Nick Markakis and a single from Adam Jones delivered the other two runs in the inning.
Baltimore finished with 18 hits, including three each by Jones and Machado.
Tommy Hunter (3-1), the third of four Baltimore pitchers, picked up the win with 2 1/3 perfect relief innings. Jim Johnson came on in the bottom of the 10th for his 14th save.
Joe Mauer drove in two runs while the Twins were building a 6-0 lead through five innings.
