ST. PAUL, Minn., May 8 (UPI) -- The Chicago Blackhawks killed six Minnesota power plays and got two goals from Patrick Sharp to top the Wild 3-0 in the Western Conference quarterfinals.
Corey Crawford made 25 saves in the victory Tuesday, which put Chicago a win away from clinching the series, and weathered two power plays and a dozen shots from the Wild in the third period.
Bryan Bickell scored the other goal for the Blackhawks, who can advance to the next round with a win Thursday in Chicago.
Minnesota goalie Josh Harding gave up one goal on six shots before suffering a lower-body injury in the first period that knocked him out of the game. Rookie Darcy Kuemper was in the crease the rest of way and stopped 16-of-18 shots.
