LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 8 (UPI) -- Louisville, Ky., would be unlikely to support an NBA franchise, a study commissioned by the city's chamber of commerce determined.
A two-page summary of the study by PricewaterhouseCoopers for Greater Louisville Inc., released Tuesday, cited the lack of big companies to purchase arena luxury boxes, the proximity of the Indiana Pacers' in Indianapolis and competition from nearby college basketball.
The study concludes a NBA team in Louisville would likely redirect spending away from current attractions rather than generate additional spending, The (Louisville) Courier-Journal reported Wednesday.
