TORONTO, May 6 (UPI) -- Tuukka Rask turned aside 45-of-47 shots Monday, backstopping the Boston Bruins to a 5-2 win over Toronto and a 2-1 first-round playoff series lead.

Rask made 15 saves in the second period as Boston was scoring three times to take control of the game.

David Krejci supplied a goal and two assists and Milan Lucic distributed three helpers for Boston, which grabbed the advantage in their best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarterfinal series with a convincing road win.

Nathan Horton added a goal and a helper while Adam McQuaid, Daniel Paille and Rich Peverley each found the net as the Bruins notched their eighth straight playoff win in Toronto dating back to 1959.

Phil Kessel and Jake Gardiner scored for the Maple Leafs, who were flattened in their first post-season home game since 2004.

James Reimer made 33 saves in the loss.
