Dimitrov caps Madrid Open day with win

OEIRAS, Portugal, May 5 (UPI) -- Second-seeded Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland claimed his fourth career ATP Tour title Sunday, besting No. 1 seed David Ferrer at the Portugal Open.
Wawrinka, ranked 16th in the world, dispatched the Spaniard 6-1, 6-4, collecting his first crown since the 2011 event in Chennai while improving to 4-7 all-time in finals.
It was the Swiss native's seventh victory in 11 career matches against Ferrer and provided him a measure of revenge after Ferrer prevailed in February's Buenos Aires final between the pair.
The Spaniard, meanwhile, was participating in his fifth title match this year. He has won in Buenos Aires and in Auckland while falling in Portugal, Acapulco and Miami.
