COMMERCE CITY, Colo., May 5 (UPI) -- Edson Buddle took advantage of a defensive mistake to score in the 86th minute Saturday, propelling the Colorado Rapids over Toronto FC 1-0.

Buddle fired in his first goal as a member of the Rapids after Toronto defender Logan Emory slipped and fell in the TFC box, handing Colorado (3-4-3) a victory.

With the victory, the Rapids leapfrogged Vancouver and San Jose to move into fifth place in the Western Conference standings.

Toronto fell to 1-4-4.
