HOUSTON, May 3 (UPI) -- Matt Tuiasosopo highlighted a four-run 14th inning with a two-run double Thursday that brought Detroit a 7-3 win over Houston.

The Tigers outhit Houston 15-6, but faced a 3-2 deficit heading into the eighth. Detroit scored an unearned run in that inning and the teams played on until the Tigers broke through against Dallas Keuchel.

Austin Jackson doubled to open the 14th and moved to third on a ground out by Torii Hunter. Intentional walks were issued to both Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder to load the bases and Don Kelly then drove in the first run of the inning with a single.

Jose Cisnero relieved Keuchel and promptly gave up the double to Tuiasosopo. Jhonny Peralta followed with a sacrifice fly.

Luke Putkonen worked the final 2 1/3 innings for the Tigers to pick up the first win of his major league career. This was his first appearance of the season after having worked in a dozen games last year while compiling an 0-2 record.

Keuchel (0-1) took the loss as the seventh of eight Houston pitchers.
