KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 2 (UPI) -- The scheduled game between Tampa Bay and Kansas City was postponed Thursday due to a winter storm that struck the area.

No makeup date was announced.

The Rays and Royals actually began the game on time in cold conditions with rain falling. It was stopped after 3 1/2 innings with the Royals in front 1-0.

Kansas is scheduled to host the Chicago White Sox on Friday. The Rays will begin a series on Friday in Colorado.
