Michael Jordan marries Prieto in Florida ceremony

PALM BEACH, Fla., April 28 (UPI) -- NBA legend Michael Jordan pulled out all the stops for his weekend wedding in Florida with longtime girlfriend Yvette Prieto, a source told People magazine.

Jordan, 50, and Prieto tied the knot Saturday at an Episcopal church in Palm Beach and then hosted about 1,500 guests at a country club in Jupiter.

"They have been planning for months and months," the source said. "He wanted to give Yvette everything she's ever wanted."

Jordan, the owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, met Prieto in 2008 at a Miami nightclub and proposed in 2011, People said. Jordan recently built a home in Jupiter.

The wedding was no big secret in the Palm Beach area. The couple were spotted Friday at the wedding rehearsal and a gaggle of fans gathered outside the church for the ceremony, WPTV-TV in Palm Beach said.
