SANDY, Utah, April 28 (UPI) -- Mike Magee and rookie Charlie Rugg each supplied a goal Saturday in the Los Angeles Galaxy's 2-0 win over Real Salt Lake.

Magee put the Galaxy (4-1-2) ahead in the 6th minute after heading a free kick from Juninho past Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando.

Rugg, making his professional debut, beat defender Tony Beltran to the ball and pounded home a shot from close range in the 13th, doubling the Los Angeles lead.

The Galaxy cruised to the victory despite playing without Landon Donovan, Robbie Keane, Todd Dunivant and Carlo Cudicini.

RSL (3-4-2) didn't have Alvaro Saborio and Robbie Findley -- who both sat out with injuries.
