ST. LOUIS, April 28 (UPI) -- Jeff Locke hurled seven innings of shutout ball and Russell Martin belted two homers Sunday in the Pittsburgh Pirates' 9-0 rout of St. Louis.

Locke (3-1) ran his scoreless innings streak to 13 with the performance, during which he shut the Cardinals down on three hits. The left-hander issued two walks and fanned four.

Martin connected for a solo blast in the second inning and a two-run shot in the ninth, giving him three homers in two games.

Garrett Jones went 3-for-4 with a bases-empty clout and Jose Tabata also went deep for the Bucs, who won the rubber match of a three-game series at Busch Stadium.

St. Louis starter Shelby Miller (3-2) was reached for three runs on seven hits in a 5 2/3-inning effort.
