NBA: San Antonio 102, Los Angeles Lakers 91

SAN ANTONIO, April 25 (UPI) -- Tony Parker led a clinically efficient San Antonio effort with 28 points Wednesday, sending the Spurs to a 102-91 decision over the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Spurs took a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference quarterfinal series, which moves to Los Angeles for Game 3 Friday and Game 4 Sunday.

San Antonio shot 51 percent from the field as a team, made 7-of-14 from 3-point range, missed just two free throws, turned the ball over only eight times and came up with six steals.

The Spurs ran off six points in a row early in the fourth period to take a 14-point lead and cruised from there.

Kawhi Leonard and Tim Duncan backed up Parker with 16 points each and Manu Ginobili added 13 points, five rebounds and seven assists off the bench.

Steve Blake and Dwight Howard both had 16 points for the Lakers, who are in the post-season without the services of injured superstar Kobe Bryant.
