NEW YORK, April 25 (UPI) -- Homers by Vernon Wells, Robinson Cano and Francisco Cervelli accounted for all the New York runs Thursday in the Yankees' 5-3 win over Toronto.

The New York bullpen allowed one hit over the final three innings to nail down the victory, with Mariano Rivera picking up his seventh save.

Wells hit a solo homer in the second, Cano delivered a three-run shot in the third and Cervelli contributed a solo blast in the fourth.

All of that brought the Yankees back from a 3-0 deficit and allowed Hiroki Kuroda to claim the victory.

Kuroda (3-1) gave up three runs on six hits in six innings. Joba Chamberlain, David Robertson and Rivera each worked one inning.

A two-run homer by Edwin Encarnacion in the first and a solo shot by Brett Lowrie in the second accounted for Toronto's scoring.

Mark Buehrle (1-1) took the loss, surrendering all three of the homers in 5 1/3 innings.
