April 24, 2013 at 12:25 AM   |   Comments

PHILADELPHIA, April 24 (UPI) -- Steve Mason backstopped Philadelphia with 39 saves Tuesday and the Flyers spanked slumping Boston 5-2.

Oliver Lauridsen, Jakub Voracek, Simon Gagne, Scott Hartnell and Matt Read each found the net for the Flyers, who won a second straight.

David Krejci and Wade Redden found the net for the Bruins, who dropped a fifth game in six outings.

They remained tied with Montreal atop the Northeast Division, however, thanks to the Canadiens' loss to New Jersey Tuesday.

Anton Khudobin started in goal but was yanked in the second period after allowing two goals on 16 shots.

Tuukka Rask relieved and was touched for three goals on 14 shots the rest of the way.
