SAN DIEGO, April 24 (UPI) -- Jonathan Lucroy and Yuniesky Betancourt both drove in a pair of runs in the Milwaukee Brewers' 6-3 road win over the slumping San Diego Padres.

Ryan Braun and Jean Segura also drove in runs for the Brewers, who won their ninth in a row while consigning the Pads to their seventh consecutive loss at home.

Yovani Gallardo (2-1) turned in a solid start by holding the San Diegans to three runs on eight hits and five walks over 6 2/3 innings. Jim Henderson earned his fifth save.

Clayton Richard (0-2) was gone after 1 2/3 innings. Richard gave up six runs on six hits. All of the runs in the game had crossed the plate by the end of the second inning.

Will Venable, Yonder Alonso and Carlos Quentin drove in the Padres' runs. Quentin went 1-for-3 in his first game back since he was suspended for eight games for his major role in an on-field rumble against the Los Angeles Dodgers April 11.
