ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., April 21 (UPI) -- Roberto Hernandez notched his first win since 2011 Sunday, firing six innings of one-run ball in Tampa Bay's 8-1 series-sweeping victory over Oakland.

Hernandez (1-3) allowed only three hits while walking three and striking out seven for the Rays, logging his first victory since Sept. 20, 2011, when he was known as Fausto Carmona while playing for the Cleveland Indians.

Yunel Escobar went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI while Ryan Roberts, Sean Rodriguez, James Loney and Kelly Johnson also drove in one run each for the victors, who completed a three-game sweep of the Athletics at Tropicana Field.

A's starter Tommy Milone (3-1) absorbed his first loss of the season after yielding six runs (four earned) on eight hits over 6 2/3 innings.

Josh Reddick provided Oakland's sole RBI.
