MLS: New York 4, New England 1

HARRISON, N.J., April 20 (UPI) -- Fabian Espindola put New York ahead to stay with a goal in the 8th minute Saturday and the Red Bulls went on to dominate New England 4-1.

Dax McCarthy gave New York (3-4-2) a quick 1-0 lead with a goal in the 4th minute but Red Bulls defender Brandon Barklage netted an own-goal only 2 minutes later to even things up.

Barklage atoned for that in the 8th minute, however, when he connected with Espindola on a pass and the Argentine put one past New England's Bobby Shuttleworth for the decisive score.

Thierry Henry and Jonathan Steele added late goals for New York.

Jose Goncalves came closest to scoring for New England (1-3-2).
