PITTSBURGH, April 17 (UPI) -- Brenden Morrow produced two of Pittsburgh's four game-opening goals Wednesday and the Penguins went on to down Montreal 6-4

Pittsburgh won its fifth in a row and moved closer to clinching the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Montreal fell back into a tie with Boston for the Northeast Division lead after the Bruins picked up a point in a shootout loss to Buffalo.

Morrow scored the second of Pittsburgh's three first-period goals and he added a tally 4:07 into the middle stanza.

Brandon Sutter also scored twice for the Penguins and Marc-Andre Fleury made 31 saves.

It was the third straight loss for the Canadiens. Peter Budaj gave up three goals on nine shots in the opening period before being replaced by Carey Price.
